Okay, so more shameless promotion!
Immram - The Voyage of the Corvus Corrone is out now. The re-mastered, re-mixed and re-packaged album is available for purchase through the official site
www.voyageofthecorvuscorrone.com with both physical and digital versions on offer. Or, if you like it in ITunes, the album is available there with an exclusive PDF version of the book.
On the main site you'll find the trailer, a full-length player of the album, previews of the book and artwork, plus a background to the strange history of the album: from the mysterious circumstances of it's recording, the tragedy of it's disappearance, and the flat-out miracle of it's re-discovery. Immram is a real return to the age when listening to an album was a full experience - where the music, the lyrics, and the packaging were all clues in a journey of discovery. Unravelling the meaning behind the lyrics from clues in the artwork. Noticing the different musical styles of the musicians listed in the liner notes. Understanding the concept of what you are listening to right now by seeking out it's past.
As a bit of a taster, here's a few previews I've posted on DA:
You can probably tell, there's a generous helping of steampunk flavour to the whole thing. It definitely sounds like the soundtrack to a steam-fantasy film that was never made - somewhere between Vangelis and Pink Floyd, the cousin of the Labyrinth and Dark Crystal.
Enjoy!
